Dave German, Owner Dave German has over 15 years of retail, marketing and sales experience. Originally from San Jose, California, Dave attended San Jose State University and graduated with a BS degree in Business Management. Prior to Elite Shutters & Blinds, Dave was a marketing manager for Ebuyer.com, Symantec Corporation and Openwave Systems. Dave and wife Michelle left the Silicon Valley in 2003 and ventured out to Chandler Arizona to start their family. Soon after their big move, their son Andrew was born in June 2003. With the housing growth in Arizona, Dave saw an immediate need to provide a service he found lacking when building his own new home. He fulfilled his dream and started his own window covering business. Dave, Michelle, Andrew and the newest addition, Amanda now live in Gilbert. Danielle Collazo, Regional Sales Manager Danielle, a New Jersey native, moved to sunny Arizona in August ’06. While having her house built in Maricopa, she decided to have Elite Shutters & Blinds install her window coverings. Danielle had such a pleasant experience and loved her new window coverings she decided she wanted to be part of the Elite team. Danielle is a mom of three children and in her spare time enjoys being with her family. Susie Showalter, Sales Manager Originally from New Mexico, Susie and her husband, Gary of 21 years, moved to Chandler in 2005. Susie has over 7 years experience in sales and retail and has owned and operated her own business. Prior to retail, Susie worked over 10 years for both Sandia National Lab and Los Alamos National Lab in New Mexico working with computers. Susie enjoys meeting new people and is enthusiastic about her customers comfort and happiness with their new window coverings. Susie and Gary have one son, Jeremy, who is 24 and lives in New Mexico. Susie and Gary just purchased a new home and reside in Queen Creek. Guess where she got her new window coverings? Shay Fiasche, Sales Manager Shay Fiasche is originally from Toronto, Canada and has more than 12 years experience in customer service, marketing and sales. Prior to Elite Shutters & Blinds, Shay worked in residential interior design and is excited about helping her customers select the best products and finishes that suit their needs. Shay is bilingual in Spanish and currently lives in Chandler. In her spare time, Shay loves to cook and spend time with her two children and husband.
Amy Hickman, Sales Manager Amy, a Minnesota native, relocated to Arizona in 2006 after visiting years on winter vacations. Amy possesses strong mid-western values of hard work and world class customer service. She and her husband operated a successful real estate, mortgage and residential renovation company which gives her the ability to help clients make the most informed decision in their purchase.
Being a natural in detail orientation and having sound home renovation success , Amy has an experienced trained eye and listening ear for assisting you in finding your desired goal. Taiji Carmichael, Sales Manager
Taiji was born in Louisiana, grew up in Florida and Texas, lived in California and now resides in Arizona. Taiji is a graduate from Texas A&M with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree and marketing as her concentration.
Taiji’s impressive resume includes direct marketing for a recreation and media company (The Good Sam Club), retail catalog (Bullock & Jones), semiconductor distributor (Wyle Electronics), software (Symantec) and is currently the co-owner of semiconductor sales and marketing company.
In Taiji’s spare time, she loves spending time with her family, cooking and has an interest in Sonoran plants. She even has a certificate in Permaculture Design.
Roger Allard, Installation Manager
Roger is originally from New Hampshire and has over 6 years experience in the window coverings industry. Roger started his journey with JC Penny in custom decorating and eventually decided to relocate to Arizona to become the lead installer at a local window coverings manufacturer. Roger saw an opportunity to become part of a small and growing company and joined the Elite team in July 2009.
Roger and his wife Emile have been married for 4 years and have two beautiful children, Makenzie & Joseph with their newest addition scheduled to arrive in September. When Roger isn’t spending time with his family or working, he loves to play baseball, softball and workout.
Michelle German, Marketing Manager Michelle German is originally from Redwood City, CA and has over 15 years of retail, marketing and public relations experience. Michelle attended San Jose State University and graduated with a BS degree in Business Marketing. Prior to Elite Shutters & Blinds, Michelle was a Marketing Manager for 8foot4 and Symantec Corporation, managing marketing campaigns worldwide. In her spare time, Michelle loves spending time with her two kids, working out and playing all sports including softball and volleyball.
